The Bear Tower is an ancient watchtower built for defence against the Turks. Although not very well preserved, this tower still shows the typical structure of its time with three machicolations per square-based side and a pyramid-shaped trunk without a counterscarp. It is constructed of regular soft tuff ashlars; however it has been badly damaged over the years. During the 16th Century it was one of many towers positioned along the coast, with the purpose of sounding the alarm in times of enemy raids. Entrance is free of charge.
