This notable monument can be found on one of the radial roads that lead from the city centre towards the outskirts of the Milan. St. Nazaro church, the old Basilica Apostolorum that dates from the year 382, is one of the oldest in Milan and has preserved relics from the apostles. The church was rebuilt after a fire in 1075, and was transformed according to the wishes of Carlo Borromeo in 1571. The Trivulzio chapel was added on the facade of the old church in 1512, intended by Gian Giacomo Trivulzio to be a family mausoleum.
