This tall unique-looking Baptistery is situated next to the Duomo. The exterior is covered with a dome, and has semi-circular niches and, in the upper part, two loggias. The interior is unusual too with sculptures by Antelami depicting the seasons and signs of the zodiac. The double baptismal font is from the 13th Century and there are paintings in tempera which are also from that period. In the apse there are some fine 14th Century frescoes from the Emilian school.
