Pella is a very popular town for tourists and still retains its medieval roots. Here you will find a fascinating medieval tower and an equally ancient bridge. The bridge is quite dramatic set over the Torrente Pellino which pours into Lake Orta. The town boasts an array of 18th Century houses sitting alongside those from the 19th Century with open galleries and porches. Little appears to have altered here over the centuries - at least from the outside.
