The wonderful Palazzo Centi in L’Aquila was finished in 1766. It was originally the home of the Centi family who had it designed with the intention of being one up on the neighbours – the Manieri and the Dragonetti clans, whose residences were close by. It certainly competed regarding its size and splendour. The palace has an ornate balcony set into the façade with three levels of windows. Inside are a huge hall and many stylish rooms.
