The Woods of Ischitella and Carpino is a fantastic nature reserve full of Holms and beeches. The woods drop to just 250 metres above sea level where the beeches thrive and look fabulous, as they grow majestically here in the very sunny and dry environment. This is due to the microclimate position and the prevailing winds that guarantee the humidity they need. The reserve is also home to much wildlife such as, wild cats, roe deer and many species of birds.
