The Convent of Capuchins was built in the first half of the 17th Century. This is among the finest buildings of the town of Linguaglossa. The interior still contains all the original features and art works, which are attributable to different periods and artists. The 19th Century inlaid walnut high-altar is by Brother Mariano of Francavilla and Brother Vincenzo of Catania. It contains a valuable ciborium in cypress, orange and walnut beautifully worked by Pietro Bencivinni and dated 1710. There are also canvases by Father Umile of Messina dated 1659 and a wooden statue of the 18th Century.
