The architect A. Vannone built the Villa Saluzzo Bombrini at the end of the 16th Century. This is one of several villas which visitors can find at Albaro, once favoured by the aristocracy as a location for their country residences, and still an elegant residential area today. A large park surrounds the villa, which is considered to be a good example of pre-alessian Genoese architecture. The 17th Century artists L. Tavarone and B. Castello were responsible for the interior decoration.
