The Villa Rosazza Di Negro is as at present a school and a fascinating example of a 16th Century villa. It owes its current look to the restructuring work by the architect A. Tagliafichi in 1787. It has a very elegant ashlar-work façade, with gable and statues and has kept many beautiful frescoes in its interior. The public park which surrounds it is breathtaking, with feature terraces, pretty lily ponds and an English garden with a neo-classical temple. Oscar Wilde recalled the villa in a sonnet he composed while staying in Genoa.
