SS. Apostoli
Borgo Santi Apostoli, 3 Florence 50123 - Italy

Map

The church of SS. Apostoli began in the Romanesque period of the 11th Century. In the side chapels from the 15th and 16th Century late Baroque decorations are still visible and at the far end of the left nave is the ‘Sepulchral Monument of Oddo Altoviti’ designed and built by Benedetto da Rovezzano at the beginning of the 16th Century. The Basilica’s beginnings can be seen in the interior, where the space is arranged into three naves divided by green marble columns from Prato, which is typical of Florentine architecture.
