The shrine of the Madonna del Piano can be located in the outskirts of Grammichele, north-west of the Terravecchia district. The structure was built during the 15th Century and, quite amazingly, was left undamaged by the earthquake of 1693. This is a fairly plain building; the façade has a doorway in its centre with a window over. There are some interesting frescoes here which depict events related to the life of the Madonna del Piano.
