The Sant’Agostino Museum in Genoa is located in the convent complex of the same name. As well as the museum, it includes a 13th Century church with original triangular cloister. This has been transformed into an auditorium, conference room, buildings for temporary exhibitions and educational activities. The museum holds many monuments and items belonging to the city. There are 10th Century capitals that were once part of the San Tommaso church, and a 12th Century column bearing lions and precious remains of a funeral monument dedicated to Margherita di Bramante, wife of Emperor Arrigo VII.
