The church of Santa Maria in Campis is thought to be of Paleo-Christina origins. It is located on the old Via Flaminia and was one of the four churches built in four different directions a mile away from the tomb of St Feliciano. After the earthquake of 1823, the church was greatly restored but still has quite a few votive frescoes and some private chapels. One of these chapels belonged to the Trinci family and contains frescoes by Nicolò di Liberatore. There are 15th Century frescoes by Pier Antonio Mezzastris in another of the chapels.
