Santa Caterina di Portoria (Chiesa della SS.Annunziata di Portoria) is sited away from the tourist areas in the modern Piccapietra neighbourhood of Genoa. It can be found just behind the courts of Justice which have taken over the remains of the old Pammatone Hospital. The church was constructed in 1556 and dedicated to SS. Annunziata, however, it has now often known as Santa Caterina da Genova, because of her beatification in 1737. The fine interior is almost a 16th Century art gallery for Genoese art.
