The outward appearance of the church of San Salvatore al Monte is quite simple, with a plaster façade decorated by tympanum windows and portals. The construction was the work of Cronaca who restored and enlarged the church at the end of the 15th Century and start of the 16th Century. The church was governed by the Franciscans and was limited to the space that is known today as the big chapel. It is decorated with paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries and only a few works remain from the 16th Century.
