The San Lorenzo Diocesan Museum in the city of Genoa was built sometime in the 12th Century, though the precise date is unknown. It was modified and enlarged in the 16th Century and again in the 17th Century. Inside is worthy of note for the Polyptych, altarpieces and wooden items of furniture. The Diocesan Museum (or Cloister of San Lorenzo’s Canons) holds precious objects of silver and other ornaments from all around the territory of the Diocese of Genoa.
