The San Frediano in Cestello’s cupola stands out on the skyline of the Oltrarno and the bare unfinished façade is clearly visible from the bank on the other side of the Arno River. The architect Cerutti completed the church at the end of the 17th Century with cupola being designed and added by Antonio M.Ferri. The church is planned in the shape of a Latin cross with a single nave upon which there are chapels decorated with stucco and frescoes from the 18th Century.
