The Rocca Flea dates back to the 10th Century. Its fortifications are built on the former site of a church of which several frescoes have been found. It is a sizable fortress with over 40 rooms, as a result of enlargements over the centuries. The building shows the influence of Frederick II, who restored and made improvements during the 13th Century, and the Perugians also made alterations in the 14th Century. Reopened after several years, it now boasts an art gallery, ceramics and important archaeological finds.
