The Pinacoteca Comunale is decorated with a series of cycles of frescoes. Some of these are by Ottaviano Nelli and his school (1449) and others are work by unknown artists. Depicted here are characters from ancient Rome, and events from the life of the Virgin. The art gallery is on the second floor and has work by Nicolò di Liberatore, l’Alunno’s son Lattanzio di Nicolò, Bartolomeo di Tommaso, and Benozzo Gozzoli. Visitors can also see exhibits including two detached 14th and 15th Century frescoes, by Pierantonio Mezzatris.
