The Palazzo Comunale in Gargnano sul Garda is situated overlooking the town’s small port. This elegant town hall was erected in the 16th Century. It was built to a plan by the architect Giovanni Traffegnini, who took his inspiration from the style of Todeschini. On the ground floor there are many attractive features including a portico which is supported by pillars with a memorial tablet commemorating the bombardment of 1866. On the first floor is a 15th Century marble block bearing Gargnano’s coat of arms.
