The Museum of the Treasure of San Lorenzo is housed in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The museum of the Treasure represents one of the most distinguished buildings of the 20th Century and is covered with Promontorio Stone, a material much used in Medieval Genoa. It was created by Franco Albini and Caterina Marcenaro to bring together many precious items linked to the cathedral and the history of the city. One of the most precious exhibits is the Sacred Bowl made from green glass, Islamic in nature, which dates from the 9th Century.
