The villa once belonged to a friend of Giuseppe Garibaldi and was where the meetings were held which decided the strategy and posting of Garibaldi’s ‘Thousand’. Now the Association for ex-militia’s headquarters, the Museo Garibaldino displays its collection of memorabilia and equipment from the time of the Risorgimento. The museum has a collection of weaponry and documentary material as well as a shirt and scabbard that belonged to Garibaldi, along with letters written to his sons, Ricciotti and Menotti.
