The beautiful Palazzo Spini Ferroni, which houses the Salvatore Ferragamo museum, was built in the 14th Century. This building, with its Guelph battlements, contains thousands of shoes which were produced by Ferragamo from 1927 until his death in 1960. Here, there are shoes worn by the rich and famous as well as the wooden model feet, on which tailor-made shoes were created for the likes of Katherine Hepburn and Madonna. A maximum of 30 visitors are allowed in the museum at any one time so booking ahead is advised.
