The Museo di Palazzo Davanzati can be found in a narrow side street that connects the Piazza Santa Trinita with the Via dei Calzaiuoli. The building is one of the most beautiful and best preserved of the 14th Century. It was constructed about halfway through the 1500s by the Davizzi family and passed to the Davanzati at the start of the 16th Century where it remained until 1838. The new owners, Elia Volpi and Leopoldo, restored the Palazzo to the old style Florentine building during the start of the 20th Century.
