The Genoa city Ligurian Museum of Archaeology has a great display of archaeological finds which span Liguria’s pre and proto history. Here you can view artefacts from the Palaeolithic tombs from Arene Candide. There are extremely rich burial artefacts from the pre-Roman necropolis of Genoa, also items from the archaeological digs around the Ligurian cities of ancient Rome. On show is Prince Odone of Savoy’s fabulous collection of ancient Greek and Roman artefacts. It has two rooms dedicated to a collection of Egyptian relics and Roman marble works.
