At around 1,000 meters high Mount Alpesisa is reached via Prato, being some 10km from the city centre. It is easily reached utilising public transport that is readily available. Heading for S.Martino di Struppa from Prato and continuing along the Southern slopes of Monte Pian di Croce and via the southern crest of the Alpesisa you can reach the top. It makes for an arduous journey covering 900m and as a result it can take three hours. The trail starts at Via Benedetto da Porto, Prato and two solid red rhombuses mark the end of the line.
