This former palace still retains the character of the original private quarters. The numerous rooms display many fine works of art, which in themselves are important in the history of art. One of the examples you can see is the music room decorated and furnished in neo-classical style. The ceilings are frescoed and decorated with golden stucco and are one of most important examples of Baroque art in Florence. The Room of Venus houses the famous Portrait of a Lady, known as the ‘Bella’, by Tiziano, and the Stufa room is entirely frescoed by Cortona.
