This important memorial is set in a beautiful spot amidst quiet and tranquil wooded slopes, near the Greve River. The white crosses are set out in courts, on either side of a pylon and these courts hold some 4402 graves of soldiers who died in service of their country. Names of the soldiers are written upon the Tablets of the Missing, which serves as a reminder of sacrifice and loyalty. Achievements of the American Armed Forces in this region can be viewed in the north atrium of the memorial.
