The Egnazia National Museum is located in the Messapi area of an ancient Roman town. The museum is home to many items covering a long time period – from Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. There are exhibitions here that deal with Bronze Age settlements along the Apulian Adriatic coast, as well as wonderful mosaic floors which have come from Roman Taranto mansions. Also here is an exhibition on the history of Egnazia. There’s a marble ‘head of Attis’, which dates from Roman era, and a mosaic portraying the three Graces.
