Amidst the Uffizi complex is a passageway, known as the Corridoio Vasariano. It was constructed in 1565 by Vasari as a means of linking the Palazzo Pitta and the Palazzo Vecchio. The corridor takes you along the river and Ponte Vecchio, and past Santa Felicita church into the Boboli Gardens. This passageway is lined throughout with paintings, many of which are self-portraits. Here you’ll find work by Raphael, Bernini, Bronzino, Rubens, and Rembrandt among others.
