Found near the Dove house is the 12th Century remains of Cloisters of S. Andrea, an important Benedictine Abbey. They represent the most important medieval cloister of the city, coupled columns with elegant capitals, and sculpted with very rich iconographic motifs containing stories from the bible, such Adam and Eve, The Three Kings, animals, imaginary creatures as well as simple floral designs. It is now only separated from the daily traffic by a few olive trees, after being moved here when the convent was demolished in 1904 and restored.
