The Chiesa di San Giorgio is dedicated to the patron saint of the city and is documented as far back as the 10th Century. It was the cathedral church for the city until the 12th Century. The layout of the church is due to remodelling carried out by Alberto Schiatti and to other work done in the 1600s. The façade is striking with its broad bas-relief made from stone depicting Saint George slaying the dragon. Biagio Rossetti erected the campanile in 1485 while inside there are works by Francesco Ferrari, Costanzo Catanio, Domenico Canuti and Francesco Naselli.
