Chiesa dell’Addolorata
Piazza dell’Addolorata, Foggia 71100 - Italy

Map
The Chiesa dell’Addolorata was constructed sometime between 1739 and 1742. The interior, as well as the façade, is adorned with wonderful Baroque architectural and ornamental features. Because of its style, the design has been attributed to an artist of the school of Domenico Antonio Vaccaro. The high altar has the miraculous statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, which is taken in procession by the congregation. The belfry was rebuilt in 1833 and raised in 1954 and, incomplete, this sturdily built structure is slightly taller than the roof of the temple.
