The Cenacolo della Calza convent in the city of Florence can be found near the Porta Romana. It was once inhabited by the Ingesuati Brothers from its first foundation and their habits were once compared to stockings or calze in Italian, mainly because of their length. Quite a lot of the convent is open to the locals and tourists alike, which includes the ancient refectory. Here you can find a beautiful fresco painted by the artist Franciabigio in 1514 and which depicts the Last Supper. Visits are by reservation only.
