Dedicated to Sant’Isidoro Agricola, the Cathedral of Giarre is located in the town’s main square. It was built in 1794 and inside there are many of the original features. The dome and the bell towers are particularly grand. The façade is the work of Pietro Valente though later altered by Carlo Sada. The painting on the sacristy door is by Pietro Paolo Vasta and also of note is the painting by two well-known Sicilian artists which hangs in the right-hand nave.
