The Castle of Slaves is said to be one of the most evocative buildings of Sicily. The imposing iron gate has an arch on its upper part made from decorated lavic stone. The castle is on two floors, with an elegant balcony on the upper floor. There are some valuable paintings, the coat-of-arms of the Gravina family, rare books and beautiful furniture of the 19th Century. The stores, stables and the keeper’s house are adjacent to the building. The surrounded park has its own well and a varied assortment of plants.
