Castello D’Albertis
Corso Dogali, 18 Genoa - Italy

Map
The Castello D’Albertis dominates the city of Genoa, overlooking the port from Montegalletto hill. Captain Enrico Alberto D’Albertis designed the castle in the style of the architectural collage and the Neo-Gothic revival. It was constructed on the ruins of a 16th Century and late-medieval fortifications between 1886 and 1892 under the supervision of the architect Alfredo D’Andrade. The castle and its fabulous collections were donated to the city after the captain’s death in 1932. The interior is richly decorated with exotic, Neo-Gothic and Hispanic-Moorish influences.
