The pillared portico to its front marks out the extent of Casa Aragonese. This distinctive red trachyte home dates to around the 16th or 17th Century and was built for a noble Catalan family. The house was used as the local library until the 1980s and there are plans to use the building as a museum or gallery sometime in the future. The house is currently empty and showing little sign of its previous owners, but can still be visited.
