The Archaeological Museum in Golasecca has a huge hall exhibiting findings of the Golasecca civilisation. Golasecca was a large society with great settlements on Lake Maggiore and Como. Among the displays there are some characteristic iron and bronze objects. In this museum you can also see evidence of the civilisation from 800 to 600 BC, back to the period 600 to 450 BC. The findings of several technical instruments and small items illustrate the profile of these ancient people.
