The Archaeological Museum is not a large museum, but was set up to display the finds near the tower at the entrance to Belriguardo Palace. Excavations are still in progress, but have unearthed many fascinating objects. Here you can see the furnishings from 67 tombs; gold and amber jewellery, amphorae and other containers like, oil lamps, balsam jars in glass plate and a fabulous balsam onyx jar. The vast majority these were ritually buried next to the deceased. The upper room is dedicated to finds from the neighbourhood, including the remains from 64 tombs from a Byzantine period burial ground.
