Zinzulusa cave was discovered in 1793. It overlooks the sea and has a dramatic natural arch. The interior has findings which prove the presence of human settlements from the Palaeolithic and Neolithic eras. These lived within the deepest part of the cave, known as the Duomo. Remains of rhinoceros, elephant, hippopotamus and cave bear were also found here. Access to the cave is quite easy and open winter and summertime with tickets available by ringing the ticket office.
