The Necropolis can be found on a hill overlooking the sea and hides graves that are between 6-7 meters deep. The graves are still intact despite looting and mining of the tuff that throughout the centuries was utilized for house building. The necropolis is the most ancient human settlement in the Sardinian territory and dates back to the Punic period, when the Carthaginians settled on the island and colonised it, and it is the biggest in the Mediterranean basin. The Warrior Grave and the Ureaeus Tomb, one of the best examples of Punic funeral paintings are here.
