The Villa of Tigellio is the best-preserved building is in a group of aristocratic houses of the roman period that can found in the city. Dating back to the 2nd – 4th Century, it is in fact not a single structure, but three private houses with the same type of construction that dates back to the 1st Century. Tigellio Ermogene was a Sardinian poet and musician and a friend of Julius Caesar, who lived between the 1st Century BC and the 1st Century AD and, according to local tradition, he lived in the villa that has been dedicated to him.
