The Santuario dell’Annunziata was built in the 16th Century and is dedicated to the Annunciation. It is Bronte’s second church and has a simple façade with a beautiful sandstone portal built in 1535 with a lava-stone window. The interior contains some beautiful paintings which include the ‘Madonna con S. Francesco e Santa Chiara’ and that depicting Sant’Orsola. Another work of art that is housed in this church is a renowned marble statue which is dedicated to the Annunciation.
