The church of Santa Maria dei Servi can be located a little way from the city’s Porta Romana. There are some frescoes here by local artist, Perugino which includes the well known Deposition, painted in 1517. It was damaged somewhat when the monks built a cantoria in front of it but is still worth going to see. This church is often locked but the key can be obtained from the custodian of the Santa Maria dei Bianchi.
