You will find a beautiful fresco here by Perugino from 1504. It shows the Adoration of the Magi and is considered the best work by the artist found in his native city. It also features the birth of the Saviour with the vista from Citta della Pieve towards Lake Trasimeno and a party of Renaissance figures. Displayed in the church are two letters from Perugino that show that he demanded 200 florins for his work here but that he actually settled for less – his reason being that he was painting for his fellow citizens.
