Near Bevagna’s main square you will find the church of San Domenico e del Beato Giacomo. It was built in 1291 on top of an oratory. There is a lovely 14th Century portal with a frescoed lunette and more 14th Century Giotto-style frescoes inside including an Annunciation. There are also wooden sculptures of an earlier period. An alley behind the church leads to the foundations of a huge Dominican convent, which had been built on top of a Roman public building of the 1st Century.
