The Porta Vittoria can be found in the old walled town of Como. The town is full of ancient narrow alleyways which wend their way between the tall stone houses with their shuttered windows and the Porta Vittoria is one of the few surviving gates left in the old town walls. It stands some 130 foot high and has large scalloped windows and a very impressive arched entrance; the gate dates back to the late 12th Century.
