The town of Bettona still has a medieval feel about it and is home to many works of art of the Perugino School. A fine example is the processional banner depicting a Madonna and Child and St Anne. This is kept in the Pinacoteca Comunale, which is housed in the Palazzo del Podesta. The collection also includes St Anthony of Padua by Perugino and Dono Doni’s masterpiece of 1543, Adoration of the Shepherds. Other works are by artists such as Jacopo Siculo, Niccolo Alunno, Tiberio d’Assisi and Fiorenzo di Lorenzo.
