About 5km from Porta San Mamolo you can find Paderno Park, one of the greenest and most important areas in the whole of Bologna. The park is sited on top of Mount Paderno, and with 27 hectares of park it’s a popular place for families. It is at an altitude of 359 metres, and visitors here can enjoy breathtaking views. Paderno Park was opened to the public officially in 1974, even though it was already a traditional destination for a trip on the hills in the 19th Century.
